My Weekend Story - By Jasmin Mataia

On the weekend, my uncle and aunty came to my house and I was playing with my cousin.  Then we went back inside to eat our dinner.  Our dinner was kokolaisa and we ate with milk and it was yum. the end.

Trip to Manurewa Library

Today, room 3 and 4 experienced a fun time listening to Naomi reading stories from the Pacific.  She also taught them colours in Niuen and body parts in Tongan.  We also learnt a beautiful Hawaiian dance to finish off.  Congratulations to Faresa and Albert for winning the two prizes from today's event.  HAPPY Pasifika WEEK!!

Trip to botanical garden

On Wednesday 25th February, Tupulaga went to visit the botanical gardens.  We were able to go to the self taught vegetable garden, and then over to Caroline for the Plant Adaptations lessons.  She told us about the Kereru tree - how the birds eat the seeds, then they poop out the seeds which are scattered around the area.  She told us that these seeds grow into plants and then into big trees with more fruit.  It was a full on day, and we enjoyed ourselves.  Thanks to our parent helper Annie Betham and her daughter Zaylahnie for helping us on our trip.

Team Building for "LOTO TELE"

Each Friday the Tupulaga unit works together to do team building activities where they mix the junior and senior classes together.  Today they worked on a photo challenge with 10 different tasks.  It was great for the team to co-operate, and show each other ways to work together for a common goal.  Well done to all teams for the fantastic work today!
